The research and development project "Platform of bio-monitoring of vital signs in the operation of critical infrastructures”, implemented by ASESOFT Technologies within CREVIS Pole of Competitiveness has as main research tool a joint team consisting of research representatives of the partners Politehnica University of Bucharest, Wing Computer Group and Asesoft International, as well as the own specialists of the beneficiary ASESOFT Technologies.
A working group of the mixed team of research synthesized some of the results achieved in the project in a scientific paper presented at the 5th International Conference on e-Health and Bioengineering - EHB 2015 held in Iasi, between 19-21 of November. This current edition was attended by many prestigious scientific and academic researchers, both Romanian and foreign, aiming to promote e-health systems and medical bioengineering.
The actual edition was devoted to presenting and promoting the latest concepts and advanced technologies, both hardware and software in emerging fields of e-health devices and medical instrumentation, processing biosignals and medical images, medical informatics, biomechanics, biomaterials, biotechnology, medical physics, health care management, education and learning technologies, rehabilitation and assistive technologies.
The research team has delegated working group composed of teachers and students from the Polytechnica University of Bucharest, namely Messrs. Radu-Ion Ciucu, George Calin Seriţan, Daniel-Andrei Dragomir, Costin Cepişcă and Felix-Constantin Adochiei to develop and provide within the conference EHB 2015 the study "ECG Generation Methods for Testing and Maintenance of Cardiac Monitors”
The value of the research results obtained and presented in the paper has been recognized and appreciated by the international committee of evaluators. Consequently, it won special prize dedicated to Young Researchers witin the International Conference on e-Health and Bioengineering - EHB 2015.
The awarded paper presents scientific methods linear, non-linear and dynamic for ECG generating having as parameters wave positions, amplitudes, angles, curves, respiratory frequency, heart rate. The generator can be used to test ECG heart rate, ECG equipment calibration, testing medical equipment and also to help increase the diagnostic algorithm performance. The results presented in the paper include innovative solutions that can be successfully used for bio-monitoring of vital parameters of staff involved in the operation of critical infrastructures.
About CREVIS Pole of Competitiveness
The Pole of Competitiveness – CREVIS aims to increase the economic productivity in the critical infrastructures and adjacent services sector. A Research & Development Center that will use innovative virtual and augmented reality techniques, along with monitoring techniques shall be built, to ensure the security and maintenance of the isolated objectives of critical infrastructures in Romania, as well as the assigned operational and intervening personnel training.
